Current and On-Going Projects
A good deal of my work currently involves providing original video designs for several central Texas theater and dance companies. I am DP on two television shows currently in production, one to be aired on the CW network, the other on PBS. During 2011 and 2012 I have created half a dozen large scale multi-channel site-specific video installations and live cinema presentations. I worked with artist George Cisneros on his grand opening presentation for the 2012 AFTA (Americans for the Arts) convention, "So Now That You Know" -- I provided the four-channel video component.
Proyecto Locos is an on-going project involving me and two other San Antonio artists (Deborah Keller-Rihn and Ramon Vasquez y Sanchez). In 2006 we produced the documentary "Dia de los Locos," which we shot in San Miguel. It screened at the Centro Cultural Aztlan, the San Antonio Museum of Art, and CineFestival. The documentary was partially funded through the San Antonio Office of Cultural Affairs. In 2010 Proyecto Locos produced an art event at Woodlawn Lake, Noche de Recuerdos, which has become an annual celebration.
Proyectos en Movimiento is a collective of dancers, musicians, and media artists founded by choreographer Seme Jatib. Since 2009 I have been collaborating on productions, providing both video as well as live cinema projections. In the short time I have been working with this group we have performed at Luminaria, Jump-Start Performance Company, the Instituto Cultural de Mexico, and the Carver Community Cultural Center. Proyectos en Movimiento is in the process of securing non-profit status.
